What is the Today card?
On the opening screen, when today is in your week, the card shows that swim: the title, about how long, and Ready or Not prepared yet. Tap it to prepare or open it. A swim you already did says View. A rest day says Rest day. Two swims on one day are two rows, so you choose.
What is the 1–10 rating?
After a recorded swim that you have not rated, the card asks how hard it was. 1 is very easy and 10 is all-out. It is optional, it is one tap, and it disappears once you answer. The number is saved on that swim. The next time a session is built, the planner is told the rating beside what the swim was for. A high number on an easy day is a reason to keep the next session manageable. It does not add work.
How do I plan a week?
Ask for the week rather than for today, then edit and lock it. The strip above the chat shows the seven days once a plan exists. You can move one swim, or make one day easy, for this week only. That does not rewrite the week you usually swim.
Do I need an Apple Watch, or just an iPhone?
You can generate workouts, revise them, and read the Apple Health training record on an iPhone. The Watch app is what lets you swim a workout rep by rep, with the send-off and your split on your wrist. Per-rep pace screens on the iPhone need the Watch and the Swimmer plan. Prices and limits are on the pricing page.
How do I connect Apple Health, and what if I decline?
Athylos asks during onboarding so it can read swim workouts — splits, strokes, heart rate, and pool length — for your training record. If you decline, you can still generate workouts and send them to the watch. You will not get the after-swim record that depends on Health. You can allow it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
How do I pair the Watch app?
The Watch app installs with the iPhone app, through the Watch app on your iPhone. Open it once on your wrist to finish setup. A workout you generate can then be sent to it. There is no separate Watch app to download on its own.
Does it work in a 25-yard, 25-metre, or 50-metre pool?
Yes. Short-course yards, short-course metres, and long-course metres. The workout is paced for the course you say you are swimming.
Does it work offline at the pool?
A new workout needs an internet connection, because it is built on our servers. Once that workout is on your Apple Watch, you can swim it without a connection.
Which events and strokes are supported?
Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and IM. Race-pace splits — the number the set is built around — are most precise for 50s, 100s, and 200s. Longer events use an even-split pace estimate rather than a full race-modeled curve, and the app says so.
Can I bring a workout my coach already wrote?
Yes. Type it, or photograph a whiteboard or a printed page. Athylos reads it into a session and works out the clocks. The photo is not stored on your account. A hash-only transcript may be cached for 30 days so the same photo is not read twice.
How do I cancel, and how do I delete my data?
Cancel any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Athylos never handles your card. To delete the account, use Settings → Delete Account in the app. What that removes is listed in the Privacy Policy.
How do I reach a person?
Email support@athylos.com, or use Settings → Contact Support in the app.
